No. If a repair will do the job, that is what Wayne will recommend. If the roof is genuinely at the end of its life he will explain why, and you can decide.
Can a roof be repaired in the rain?
Some temporary measures can be put in place in wet weather to stop water getting in. A lasting repair is normally carried out once conditions are safe and dry enough to do it properly.
